I am a multidisciplinary and team-oriented technical specialist with 15 accumulated experience in providing technical assistance in the following areas: (1) coordinating health financing reforms program including development of health financing strategy, conducting feasibility assessment on establishment of health fund and health insurance, designing and implementing performance based financing program (2) development of National Health Policy, health sector strategic plans and operational guidelines (3) generation of health financing evidence through economic analysis, costing of health strategic plans and health program/intervention scale-up plans, conducting resource tracking through Systems of Health Accounts (SHA) and Resource Mapping (3) technical coordination of health sector reform programs such as decentralized health system, hospital autonomy, health efficiency programs and financial management. I have worked in USAID, EU, Global Fund, World Bank, UNDP, DFID, GIZ and Government supported programs.

My work as Finance Specialist at UNDP funded project, FLIRD, resulted into implementing sound financial management, assessed and built partners’ capacity in Financial Management both at national and district levels. Specifically, I spearheaded development of decentralized fund-flow systems, manuals, guidelines, rules and procedures that resulted into effective financial management in 12 Districts Assemblies, 5 NGOs and 4 Government Departments. Apart from financial system I coordinated operational management, provided direction and leadership to the Finance section, prepare annual budgets/estimates, financial reporting to Donors, facilitate internal and external audits, facilitate office operations, procurement, logistical management and human resources. Of the most importance, I implemented and evaluated financial performance in terms of Financial Sustainability, Risk Management and Resource Allocation of the Project.
