About Wim Van Damme
I am Wim Van Damme, professor in Public Health at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp. I have worked on long-term assignments in Cape Town (2013-2015), in Cambodia (1999-2002), in Guinea (1989-92), in Sudan (1987-89) and in Peru (1985-87). I teach public health and health policy; guide PhD students; and conduct various researches. I have initiated the Emerging Voices for Global Health initiative.
