MSc in Development Economics from University of Nottingham, BA in Economics from University of Zurich. Job experiences in management consulting, industry research, before moving on to an ODI Fellowship in Sierra Leone. Acting head of the health financing unit in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Sierra Leone, then moving on to the Clinton Health Access Initiative as Program Manager HRH, and later Senior Program Manager for Health System Strengthening and Deputy Country Director. Moved on as health financing expert providing support to the Ministry of Health in public financial management reforms, sustainable financing of drugs, and supply chain reforms. Currently still advising His Excellency the Vice President on how to make progress towards Universal Health Care. On the side registered my own company in Dakar, Senegal, and working for clients such as UNICEF, the World Bank Group, AEDES and Oeconomia Expertise on health financing projects with a focus on improving domestic financing for health. Responsible for PBF implementation in Sierra Leone from 2013-2015, focal person for the development of a Social Health Insurance. Oversaw a health worker payroll census and audit, as well as development of a new 5 year national strategy for Human Resources for Health, which kick-started the process of decentralization of HR management. Worked across the country to decentralize HRH management and planning and also increase rural retention. Passionate about making a change and bringing more equity in this world - both in my private and professional level.
