About Ben Bellows

Ben is a health systems researcher with the Population Council where he has focused on studies of performance-based financing, reproductive health vouchers, supply side contracting, and health systems strengthening. He has managed multi-country, multi-year projects with budgets up to US$8 million. He brings an entrepreneurial energy to new projects and is keen to engage at the intersection of information technologies, development and reproductive health. In 2009, he completed his PhD at UC Berkeley and took a research position at the Population Council in Kenya, relocating to Zambia in 2015.
