I manage the global health policy team at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). J-PAL is a global research center working to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. Our network of affiliated research professors at universities around the world conduct randomized impact evaluations to answer critical questions in the fight against poverty. As part of the health policy team, my goal is to translate our affiliates' health research into policy. This involves working with implementers and policymakers to identify how programs could be informed by the research, developing synthesis products that highlight key lessons, and helping to launch new research in areas that are policy relevant but understudied.
