About Aida Bayou

My name is Aida Bayou and I am leading m4h’s Health Systems work, with a particular focus on South Asia and Africa. I have over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, managing for results, partnership building, and institutional capacity strengthening in health programs. Building on my earlier career as a clinician and public health practitioner I have contributed to the design and implementation of some 20 health projects. My specific professional areas of expertise are in the area of Maternal Health and Child Survival Programmes, having worked for instance as MCH technical advisor long term in Ethiopia and worked as technical lead on QoC on Maternal, Child survival and Reproductive health programs in several countries (Nepal, Kenya, Cambodia, Yemen, Nigeria) and on demand side financing projects in Kenya and Cambodia. I have successfully carried out several short-term assignments on feasibility studies, Programme Evaluations, Program audits for the World Bank, Kfw, EU, GIZ, and Global Fund.
