For more than fifteen years, i have worked with public and private organizations including NGO, political representatives to advocate and push for universal access to healthcare in Mali. As a deputy Director of Technical Union of community-based health insurance scheme, i have worked with the Ministry of Social Affairs to design, implement and monitor a national health coverage extension plan. As WHO’ consultant, i've conducted some studies on health financing issues in Mali and assisted the Ministries of Health, Solidarity and Familly and Welfare to develop Mali’s national health financing strategy. I have also helped numerous Result-Based Financing (RBF) programs to design and implement strong and smart information systems especially in West Africa Region. I've recently joined Results for Development (R4D) to hold position of health financing technical lead for African Collaborative for health financing solutions (ACS) project. My duties relate to ensure technical quality and use of appropriate health financial approaches in sub-saharan countries involved, and to support the coordination of joint learning opportunities. Here i build, manage strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships with potential partners and key experts. I also oversee the day to day work of other project staff. I am passionate for knowledge sharing across the continent. I am member of diverse communities of practices (health service delivery, financial access, Results-based Financing, Joint learning network) where i am endeavoring to bring novel perspectives for moving forward universal health coverage.
