Name is GASHUBIJE Longin. Medical Doctor by training with a Masters In Science and Masters of Public Health. I am currently Consultant and visiting Professor of Health Policy at the Institute of Public Health (INSP), Bujumbura Burundi. I have 12+ years of experience in global health. I am strong at organizing people and actors to catalyze change within their sector. My main drive is impact. My experience and expertise cover the full spectrum of Health levels (management at District level, Country coordination Officer, policy maker at national level and scientific evidence at National and international level). My main domains of technical expertise are health strategy and health policy (Universal health Coverage, Health financing , Health and Nutrition and HIV/AIDS) and health sector reform in Burundi. My current region of focus is Africa. I have been a key contributor in the introduction, design, evaluation and scaling up of performance-based financing in Burundi and Djibouti. In East African Community, my input has mainly been in the field of developing Health strategies, Policy assessment and Coordination. My mother tongue is Kirundi, my training and working languages are French and English and I have have good notions of Swahili and Kinyarwanda. I have very good connection with international experts in Global health to enable collective learning and collaboration.
