COVID-19 has tremendous impact on health systems. The Health Financing team of the WHO would like to collect information and document how country policy makers have adjusted purchasing arrangements to respond to COVID-19. We ask for your help to collect more information on country practices via a short survey. The core objective of this short survey is to understand purchasing policy responses and to facilitate cross-country experience sharing. Your response will also help to draw lessons for the future. We will compile the information and share the experiences and insights with this community.
For more background and information on purchasing health services during a pandemic, please see our blog on “How to purchase health services during a pandemic? Purchasing priorities to support the COVID-19 response”
Participating to this project is very simple... We just ask you to provide some information on the purchasing arrangements of your country or on the country you work on.
The survey consists of eight key questions on the core areas of strategic purchasing. It takes about 20 (-30) minutes. Please feel free to respond to the survey in any language. We will translate all responses!
You can access the survey here.
All colleagues dealing with health financing and purchasing, working in ministries of health or finance, etc., in health insurance schemes, development partners, academia and research, as well as practitioners, are invited to contribute and share their knowledge and experience.
We thank all who participate. Every contribution is significant and vital in the effort to better understand the adjustments in purchasing arrangements to respond to COVID-19.
