In Africa as elsewhere, the subject of health care financing raises both technical and political issues ; It is a broad topic, conducive to research, but also to controversies ;This is why both teams of the PbF and Financial Access Communities of Practice decided, nearly five years ago, to jointly launch and facilitate a space for debate: the blog "Health Financing in Africa".
Besides high quality content, one of the objectives of the blog is to provide a platform for experts from the South to share their views ;This platform has now become a reference in our sector, with more than a thousand visits for the most popular blog posts.
Today, we want to expand our editorial team ; We are looking for several collaborators and volunteer contributors, who will be entrusted with the task of drafting a blog post, then published in their name ; In the beginning, it will mainly consist in interviewing senior international experts.
In close collaboration with the website editorial team, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking one or more interviews : with some people known for their expertise in Health Financing, previously identified and contacted by the editorial team.
- Converting the interviews : in a blog post, in accordance with the editorial policy of HFA blog, then published in your name.
A preliminary work : may be required before the interviews, in particular by taking knowledge of the main publications of the person to be interrogated.
-Expertise in Health Financing and / or Public Health is expected ; A Masters in Public Health or Health Economics is an Asset.
-Strong writing skills in French and / or English are essential ; Prior experience writing in a journalistic style / blogging will be appreciated.
-The mastery of English AND French is a plus but is not essential, the interviews being distributed among project members according to their native language.
