Morocco has embarked on a process of reforming its health system to meet the challenge of Universal Health Coverage. In support of this reform process, a Health System Strengthening Support Program was developed in partnership with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning project is a key component of this support program. It was developed as part of a partnership between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Department of Public Health of the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp (ITM).
Within the framework of this MOH and ITM project, six Action Learning Groups (ALG) will be initiated. An ALG can be defined as a multi-stakeholder problem-solving and innovation group. It functions as a learning organization in miniature and can therefore serve as a practice laboratory for good learning practices, before wider dissemination in the system, in particular by the members of the group who have been able to appreciate these good practices. This first ALG is devoted to Performance Based Financing (PBF).
This Collectivity project is intended for Moroccan experts involved in the PBF Action Learning Group and international experts who will be invited to collaborate during the process.
The PBF Action Learning Group has set itself the goal of producing, by May 2018, a detailed proposal for a performance-based financing strategy for public health centers in Morocco. In close collaboration with the other members of the ALG, you will contribute to this project by:
You are an expert in the national health system and have been identified by the Ministry of Health of Morocco as a member of this ALG.
You have been identified by the ALG as an expert likely to help the group to achieve its objectives.
