This thematic group is part of the larger collaborative learning initiative on strategic purchasing. This initiative is jointly led by the WHO, ITM and the FAHS and PBF Communities of Practice. We suggest to work together in five thematic groups under this initiative. One these thematic groups will move forward the agenda of PBF/P4P as an enabler for strategic purchasing. Together, we will assess how PBF/P4P programs could contribute to a consolidation of strategic purchasing (SP) at country level.

This project is open to members of the Strategic Purchasing working group. We are looking for those of you working in purchasing agencies, ministries of health, local governments, CSOs etc who are already involved in Performance-Based Financing / Pay-for-Performance programs, or who have relevant knowledge and experience in provider payment methods, benefit design, information systems in countries implementing a PBF/P4P program. The subgroup will be facilitated by Bruno Meessen, Martin Sabignoso and Elina Dale.
